The Saint Raymond of Penafort Religious Freedom and Marriage Committee proudly presents Doctor Ryan Anderson to speak this Thursday, January 14th at 7:30 PM in the Parish Hall. This event is free and open to the public. No RSVP required.
Dr. Anderson researches and writes about marriage and religious liberty as the William E. Simon senior research fellow in American principles and public policy at the Heritage Foundation.
He is also the founder and editor of Public Discourse, the online journal of the Witherspoon Institute of Princeton, NJ.
One of the nation’s most sought after speakers on the topics of marriage and religious liberty, Dr. Anderson earned his B.A. from Princeton University, graduating magna cum laude. Before becoming a well-known voice in the political realm, he earned his doctoral degree in political philosophy from the University of Notre Dame, where he received his master’s degree as well. A regular guest on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and in print publications such as The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, he wrote the book Truth Overruled: The future of Marriage and Religious Freedom. Doctor Anderson is also the co-author of the acclaimed book What is Marriage? Man and Woman: A Defense, which Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito cited in his dissenting opinion in the Supreme Court Case US vs. Windsor, involving the Defense of Marriage Act.
