Formation in Christian Chastity

The safety of your children is always uppermost in your mind. We have continued to take steps in recent years to do our part in ensuring that children will be in a safe place when they are participating in the religious education program at St. Raymond’s. All staff and volunteers have received the background checks and training required by the USCCB. Each year a program is implemented to help the children in grades 1-12 recognize the steps they can take to keep themselves safe. Guided by the Diocese of Arlington, the program is called “Formation in Christian Chastity”. Lesson plans provided by the Diocese are used for different age groups. During the week of October 18th, the teachers will present these lessons in the classroom. The goal is to equip both you and your children with the knowledge to keep us all safe. Parents have the choice to have their children participate in or to opt-out of the lesson. Please initial your choice above. If you opt-out, you will receive an official Arlington Diocese Opt-out Form to be completed and kept on file for each child.

Additional Information is Available on the Diocesan Website
