In Honor of the Canonization of Blessed Pope John Paul II, St. Raymond’s Parish Respect Life Committee and the St. John Bosco Knights of Columbus Council are sponsoring a Pro­‐Life Essay Contest for parish youth in grades 4-­12.

Grades 10-12

In 1000-1500 words: How do you envision a Pro-Life America, and what can you do to make it that way? Feel free to reference our Founding Fathers’ philosophies.
1st Place $500.00
2nd Place $200.00

Grades 7-9

In 500-1000 words: By what authority does the Catholic Church claim that all human life is sacred?
Feel free to reference the Bible, the Catechism and other Church documents to support your paper.
1st Place $200.00
2nd Place $100.00

Grades 4-6

In 250-500 words: How can you live in a way to show God and others that you respect the gift of human life?
1st Place $50.00
2nd Place $25.00
