The Knights of Columbus, St. John Bosco Council #12846, will
host their annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, October
22nd, from 6:30 to 9:00 P.M. in the Parish Hall.
Tickets will be available in the Narthex after all
Masses on the weekends of 8th, 9th, 15 th , and 16 th
of October 2022 for cash and check sales. Proceeds will to St.
Raymond’s “Our Lady of Ransom” Scholarship Fund for Catholic
Education. The Chairman of this event is Mr. Patrick Franco.
Come join in the fun and fellowship of our Catholic community!
Additionally, credit/debit card sales are available through this QR
code and can be used for advance ticket sales.
Coats for Kids
St. John Bosco Council 12846 of the Knights of Columbus are
collecting new coats for kids after all Masses on October 29th
and 30th. All coats collected will be donated to local charities
(Lorton Community Action Center and The Catholic Charities
Christ House) Coats can be any size and boxes will be in the
Narthex. Donations will also be accepted.
Money donated will be used to purchase new coats and given
to the charities above.
The Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a blood drive on behalf of Inova Blood Donor Services on Saturday, November 5th, here at St. Raymond’s parish hall from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM . Please consider signing up for a 15 minute time slot within that period and giving the Gift of Life. You may sign up either on-line at www.inovabloodsaves.org or in the Narthex after all masses in the coming weekends. KOVAR collections is a charity event and sill there are many programs they will fund for the upcoming period to include:
Home Loans – Interest free loan program to assist in the purchase of group homes
Transportation – Funding to assist in purchasing vehicles to transport individuals
Group Home Furnishings – Grants to assist in furnishing group homes
Training Programs – Funds to help train individuals with disabilities
Special Olympics – KOVAR donates $50,000 each year
