St. Raymond’s Christ House Committee received donations for all items.

Thank you to all who volunteered on this busy Memorial Day weekend to support St. Raymond’s Christ House Committee Dinner Project.  As you know we are gearing up to host 60 guests for Taco Night this Friday at Christ House in Old Town Alexandria.

The staff at Christ House in Old Town Alexandria and the Christ House Committee at St. Raymond’s thank you for your contributions!

Excerpt from Meditation on May 22, 2015, in Magnificat, taken from St. Catherine of Siena’s writings:  “But I want you to understand that we can neither love God nor be virtuous without the mediation of our neighbors, because it is in our neighbors that we find love and virtue.  How so?  I’ll tell you.  I can’t show my Creator my love for him directly, because I can be of no service to God.  So I have to use God’s creatures as intermediaries, and do for them the service I cannot do for God.  So it was when Christ asked Peter, ‘Peter, do you love me?’  When Peter said ‘Yes,’  Christ responded, ‘Feed my little sheep.  In the love you bear me you can do me no service; so do it for your neighbors.'”
