De Celles announces: 9am Sunday Mass Changes * * * Effective September 8 * * * Additional Latin: Summary: All the prayers and responses from the “Sanctus” until the “Prayer after Communion” (“Let us pray”) will be in Latin. Practically speaking: There will be 2 new responses in Latin: 1) “For the kingdom, the power …,” 2) “Lord, I am not worthy….” But we will also often chant these prayers/responses. | The English/Latin cards in the pews will also be updated. First Sunday of the Month additional 9am Mass Changes * * * Effective October 6 * * * On the First Sundays of every month (and only on that Sunday) we also add two traditional practices to the 9am Mass: 1) We will chant (in English) the Gospel, and possibly the 1st and 2nd Readings. 2) The schola will chant the Creed in Latin, with the people who are able joining in.
