Assistance Needed with Senior Luncheon on December 14

November 6, 2013 News

The Senior Luncheon is quickly approaching on December 14 and we are looking for volunteers to assist in cooking the food. The menu will be turkey, yams, turkey stuffing, corn or green beans, salad, roll, sparkling cider, and a delicious cake for dessert. Food will be supplied so volunteers do not need to purchase anything.

There will be two turkeys that need to be cooked and the meat taken off the bone and placed in a pan for easy serving. The yams are easy to make and the stuffing is easy to make. The vegetable will be prepared in the kitchen. We expect about 40-50 seniors to attend. It is a very nice afternoon and the seniors, the wise people of our church love it!!

We also need about six adults that are in compliance with the Virtus Training to assist in the kitchen to get the food out and with kitchen clean up. The young people will help with trash disposal.

If able to help please contact the Parish Office or Patricia Miller.
